Biologically Accurate Miniature sculpture artist
Fanni Sandor, a Hungarian miniature sculpture
artist, is one of those artists who creates incredibly small sculptures of
flora and wildlife that are not only adorable but also biologically correct.
Sandor, who was trained as a microbiologist and science teacher, now spends a
significant amount of time creating this remarkable natural beauty.
She has always been drawn to anything
that is smaller than life. She paints, draws and she is a biologist who is
particularly interested in animals, so she began to shrink them. She believes
that by doing so, her small creatures will reach out to anyone who is
interested in miniatures.
This miniature sculpture artist creates
1:12 scale miniature lifelike animal sculptures. She was named an IGMA Fellow
in 2016. Her primary goal in her work is to create realistic and detailed
representations. All items are hand sculpted from polymer clay and embellished
with feathers, fur, and other materials.
